As research into cleaning, indoor environments and occupational health continues to evolve, cleaning and facility management professionals are being challenged to rethink traditional practices.

Paid workshops: This workshop is part of the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo and requires an additional paid ticket. To reserve your place, register for the Expo and select the workshop during the registration process.

This interactive workshop examines the latest peer-reviewed research and explores what it means for workforce health, product selection, indoor environmental quality, safety culture and operational performance.

Designed to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and everyday practice, the workshop will challenge conventional thinking and provide practical guidance on how organisations can better protect cleaning professionals, create healthier indoor environments and make more informed operational decisions. Drawing on current peer-reviewed research and relevant Safe Work Australia Model Codes of Practice - including managing biological hazards, work health and safety risks, and hazardous chemicals - attendees will gain a practical understanding of how scientific evidence can be translated into safer, more effective workplace practices. Through expert discussion, real-world examples and interactive participation, attendees will leave with practical strategies they can apply across their own workplaces.
